THAI ARMED FORCES BUDGET FOR FISCAL 2017 - SET TO INCREASE BY ALMOST 4%!

 

The Thai government has proposed a 2017 defence budget of THB 214 billion (USD 6 billion) – an increase of 3.8% over spending in 2016. For the past decade, the Thai defence budget has followed a steadily increasing trend. From 2015 - 2017 it increased almost 16%. And in 2015 and 2016 the increases were 5% and 7% respectively.

The total budget for Thai Ministry of Defence in 2017 is THB 214,347.4 million: The breakdown is as follows…

• • The Permanent Secretary for Defence will receive THB 9,150 million
  
• • The Royal Supreme Command Headquarter will receive THB 16,292 million
• • The Royal Thai Army will receive THB 104,411 million
• • The Royal Thai Navy will receive THB 41,321 million
• • The Royal Thai Air Force will receive THB 39,165 million

The Thai defence budget is solidly backed by expanding economies. DEFENSE & SECURITY 2017 will welcome over 300 official Delegations, Defence Ministers, High Ranking Officials and Decision Makers from around the world – especially from ASEAN countries.

The 2017 show will be held at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand from 6 - 9 November 2017. Please note that the majority of exhibition space has already been taken, but good limited space is still available.
