The Ministry of Industry turns the Covid-19 crisis into an opportunity by pushing Thai Food into the top ten as a world food exporter and the construction industry is still moving forward Although all industrial sectors have been affected by the outbreak of the Covid-19 the situation from May onwards has been well controlled in Thailand and economic activities are being resumed. The Ministry of Industry is ready to move forward with the Food Processing Industry Development Action Plan Phase 1 (2019-2027). The plan is to increase the gross domestic product of the food industry to 1.42 trillion baht which will generate revenue in related businesses by 4.5 trillion baht. This will result in Thailand becoming the food production hub of ASEAN and to become one of the ten of the world's largest food exporters by 2027.
Likewise, while the main industries continued to expand well into April concrete and cement products grew by some 23.47% from the same period last year. This was due to increased demand from government construction projects. There is still a good trend for growth and expansion after the Covid-19. It is expecting more investment in machinery and technology to support operations after the crisis has ended.
